Manorbier Castle Terms and Conditions

  1. Manorbier Castle is a scheduled ancient monument and as such, has steep steps and uneven walkways. Please use handrails where provided and take extra care in wet weather. Follow the information on signs and the advice of our staff at all times – it is for your safety.
  2. Due to the steep steps and uneven walkways, it is sensible to wear appropriate footwear – no high heels or flip flops.
  3. Children are the responsibility of their parents/guardians at all times. Visitors under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over.
  4. We reserve the right to refuse admission or to remove visitors from the castle if:
    1. behaviour is deemed likely to affect the safety or enjoyment of others;
    2. threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour has been used to either visitors or Manorbier Castle staff;
  • any visitor is thought to be under the influence of alcohol or other substances.
  1. Visitors are expected to behave with respect to local laws and customs. Any visitor behaving in such a way as to cause danger or distress to others, or damage to property may be removed from the premises without refund. In addition, that visitor must meet any expenses incurred as a result of such behaviour.
  2. All persons entering must pay for admission unless otherwise permitted by Manorbier Castle. Each ticket is valid for one person or family. Any person attempting to gain admission without a valid ticket will be asked to purchase a ticket or leave the premises.
  3. All prices are in pounds sterling (£) and are inclusive of VAT. We accept cash payments as well as Visa, Visa Delta, Visa Electron and Mastercard.
  4. Visitors can come back to the castle with free re-admission on the ticket purchase date. Tickets must be produced for inspection.
  5. An admission ticket includes entry to the castle and access to any free tours or activities taking place on the day of purchase.
  6. Tickets are non-refundable.
  7. There are no student or army concessions for tickets.
  8. Children 3 and under have free entry.
  9. School and group booking rates are only applicable when booked in advance. Please phone for more details.
  10. Please note that additional charges sometimes apply to some of our optional activities.
  11. We reserve the right to withdraw any activities without notice.
  12. We reserve the right to change our prices or withdraw promotions at any time.
  13. Manorbier Castle reserves the right, whether for safety reasons or otherwise, with or without prior notice, to close either fully or partially. We will endeavour to give advance notice via our website and Facebook page but Manorbier Castle shall have no liability whatsoever including, but not limited to, any travel expenses.
  14. Please check our opening times before you visit. We sometimes close for private events so please check our website for opening times.
  15. Manorbier Castle cannot be held responsible for incorrect or out of date information held on external websites so please ensure you check our website for the most up to date details. Please let us know if you see incorrect information displayed anywhere and we will endeavour to get this changed.
  16. Other than liabilities for death or personal injury, arising from Manorbier Castle’s negligence, Manorbier Castle and its employees shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever.
  17. Only food and beverages purchased from Manorbier Castle may be consumed in the Café du Barri. Picnics may be brought into the castle and consumed outside.
  18. Smoking or vaping is strictly prohibited within the curtain walls of Manorbier Castle.
  19. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome to Manorbier Castle. Please ensure that any dog mess is bagged and collected promptly and disposed of in a bin. Water bowls are provided near the café.
