Castle House is an elegant, Victorian house nestled within the majestic 13th century Castle walls. It sleeps 12 guests and will capture your hearts. There are four bedrooms in the main house, two doubles which are ensuite and two twin rooms. There is also the Hideaway across the garden sleeping four.
Castle House is a truly gorgeous bolthole and is the perfect choice for a getaway with family or friends.
There is a cosy log burning stove in the large comfortable lounge which allows you to sit, relax and take in the period surroundings.
The bedrooms and décor throughout Castle House have all the glamour of period features with modern adjustments for a more comfortable stay.
Guests staying with us are enveloped in luxury with king sized beds, comfortable quality mattresses and crisp white linen sheets.
The Castle House enjoys a wonderful, private, sunny courtyard garden with ample seating for all, in a totally unique setting encircled by the Castle walls.
At night the Castle gates are locked for your family to enjoy your own truly unique experience…a Castle of your own!!
We spoil our guests with freshly cut flowers from our beautiful gardens where Echiums grows tall and butterflies play.

The Castle has been owned by the same family since it was built and there are some stunning period portraits in this room depicting family members. The house is consciously designed to create a feeling of warmth – ideal for a peaceful and relaxing stay. Within the Castle Lounge a wonderful log burning stove sits within an ancient fireplace, perfect for reading or spending some time with family or friends. Comfortable furniture and soft Welsh throws add to the stylish vintage room.

The high vaulted ceilings, beautiful views across the Castle gardens, Victorian period furniture and soft sumptuous carpet, in this gorgeous King size bedroom, create an ambience which will make it difficult to kick back the duvet in the morning. We have also provided a Dolce Gusto Coffee Machine, with a whole range of wonderful coffees for you to try, to help you luxuriate further in this stunning room!

This wonderful cosy bedroom looks out over Castle House’s private courtyard garden, here you can admire glimpses of the Castle Chapel and Great Hall. Period Victorian furniture create a stylish but comfortable room with the added bonus of a large en-suite bathroom room (shower over bath).

Glimpse the Castle’s great turret walls and flora filled garden through the windows. You’ll be treated to tall Echiums and flower beds which produce an array of colour throughout the year. This is a bright, sunny and airy room and is a firm favourite with guests.

This room is at the very top of the house which means there are fantastic views of the Castle can be enjoyed from it. It has polished hardwood wooden floors, a beamed ceiling and beautiful Victorian bedroom furniture. It is cosy and welcoming.

The fabulous, long oak dining table within the room will seat all 12 of Castle House’s guests and patio doors open directly out onto the private courtyard. Imagine a dinner party here with your friends and family, or a relaxing lunch after a stroll along the coast path. The dining room leads directly into a good sized kitchen.
Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped and has a range of fitted units as well as an Aga style oven/cooker. There is also a table and more seating for a relaxed breakfast with views out onto the Courtyard.
The
Hideaway
Just a stone’s throw across the courtyard from the main house, this delightful lodge has 2 single beds and a set of bunks. The lodge has its own bathroom and is an ideal nook for teenagers. A gate from the private courtyard then leads out into the main Castle gardens, where children can run free and enjoy a safe green space where birds, wildlife and flowers are in abundance.
