Access Statement

Manorbier Castle stands in its own private grounds with a long gravel driveway leading down to the main structure.

Disabled parking is available within the grounds but is limited, prior arrangement for parking within the Castle is advisable. Other means of parking is available at the public carpark near the beach. A pavement runs from this carpark up to the Castle side entrance, a small road will need to be crossed to access this entrance.

Access to the castle is across a wooden drawbridge, the Castle grounds are laid predominately to lawn; slightly uneven in some places. Access is possible for wheel chair users on the ground floor area of the Castle.

The Castle has areas with steep slippery steps and narrow corridors, in a lot of areas the floors are uneven and can be slippery if wet. Low headroom is an issue in some places.
