The village is a remarkable enclave of history and character.
The highlights include the castle (of course!) The Norman Church, The Dovecote and the golden sand beach are within a 5 minute walk of the castle.
The church is St. James – Grade I-listed. Situated high on the hill adjacent to the castle and with fabulous views of the beach and coastline opposite. The church is open to visitors during the summertime. For opening hours see the sign at the top of the church lane. Turn right out of the car park, up to the first right and the sign is on your right.
Which is a short walk from the Castle itself. In an isolated position 100m NW of Manorbier Castle, reached by the side path which passes the ruined corn mill. This would have provided the castle with meat from Pigeons and Doves. Well worth the walk!
