Manorbier Village

Manorbier Village

The village is a stunning enclave of history of character.

The highlights include the castle (of course!) and see below.  All of these places are within a 5 min walk of the castle.

The Norman Church

Aited high on the hill adjacent to the castle and with stunning views of the beach and coastline opposite.  The church is open to visitors during the summertime.  For opening hours see the sign at the top of the church lane. Turn right out of the car park, upto the first right and the sign is on your right.

For more detailed history on the church please Manorbier Church History

St James church, Manorbier

The Dovecote

Which is a short walk from the Castle itself.  In an isolated position 100 m NW of Manorbier Castle, reached by the side path which passes the ruined corn mill.  This would have provided the castle with meat from Pigeons an Doves. Well worth the walk!
